    Slipsticks

To make slipsticks, use paint-mixing sticks that are new and flat, or any flat stick with a handle that will fit your hand. First, glue a piece of rubber, such as a piece of an inner tube, onto the stick. Select a number of different grits of wet and dry abrasive paper and glue them onto the rubber on each stick. On each side, you might tack or glue a piece of leather or cotton webbing for a hone.
